We have had a few instances with having to re stretch several installations of your carpets that appears to be only affecting the wool twist ranges. I think we did communicate this previously when you were away on holiday but we thought it had been resolved at the time after we re stretched it. I haven’t yet asked all the salesmen if they have had problems as there may be some we have re stretched that have slipped under the radar.

We have a serious problem that we need some help with as a matter of urgency. We installed 517m2 of HC50 Tundra into a property in November 2017. Your invoice number was V08482 dated 26/10/17. Shortly after fitting it we were called back to re stretch the carpets and the fitter spent a few hours stretching the carpets. We were subsequently called back again and Nigel (Putney branch manager) visited site to inspect the carpets and arranged for him and the fitter to visit site on 19^th January 18. He and the fitter spent over 5 hours stretching the carpets and trimming them in and he also took a steamer to remove some of the creases that were forming in the carpets. When they left site Nigel confirmed that although the carpet backing was stiff and difficult to work with they were perfect when he left site. Needless to say this is not normal practice to go to these lengths with this fitters work.

We have now been contacted again by the client as the creases have returned and as this is a house that is on the market for sale they are not happy that the carpets do not do the property justice and they are requesting us to make a site visit (which I will make personally) with a representative from Cormar carpets as a matter of urgency. I have attached a PDF series of pictures to this email. Some show the amount that was cut off the carpet on the last visit and some are photos the customer has taken to demonstrate the current condition of the carpets.

I also have had dealings with another installation of Oaklands 42 Silverstone where we fitted 275m2 of carpet into a property in October 2016. Your invoice number 03287 7/10/16 and we fitted the carpets on 28^th October and we have been back and re stretched the carpets on 6/2/17, 10/7/17 & one room again on 29/5/18 and on this occasion removed another 12mm strip along one side of the carpet.

As I say I haven’t asked all the staff if they have had a problem as I fear what they may say. I have spoken to some of the fitters who are reporting problems with your twist when before they all liked your backings.

Can you ring me today as a matter of urgency on 020 8879 0485 to discuss this matter and so we can arrange a visit to site next week. I also need to discuss this matter as to the probable cause of the problem as I am thinking of taking Cormar wool twists off show if we are not aware of what has caused this and what Cormar may have done to combat this issue as I cannot believe we are the only company who have suffered this problem.
