Hi David
Hope all is well.
This is just an e-mail to make you aware of a current
issue with a customer we are having at the moment . I have attached the floor plan and a diagram I
drew her describing my findings on
my inspection.
Please see below an email I sent to a customer on the 8th of March
regarding a seam she is now contesting. The carpet was fitted 7th of July and
she has only been in contact late feb in regards to a complaint about it. I went
round to see it and I've judged that the seam was completely out of our control,
but she is not happy with that and is threatening to take it further. She can neither prove nor disprove that we are at fault
but the curse of being the last trade in strikes again. If we
are left with no choice but to replace the carpet, we would need a 2.80 x 4.00m
cut of Star Twist 50 Pearl from Lano which has a current clp of
£8.99
I have spoken to her on the phone today (where she said she will be
taking it further) so I told her to put it in writing in a e-mail so I am
waiting for that. Once that has been received, me and Richard will read through
it and forward it on to you if we feel necessary to do
so.
Have a good
weekend!

VISIT
Good Morning
Mrs Smith
Hope all is
well and apologies for the delay in response.
On the
13th of January 2016 I did my initial site visit (this was before any
building works had commenced as the loft stairs and loft room were not built at
this stage) and met Mr Gerlach on site to discuss the job and colours. (Mr Gerlach was the head
builder/architect for the job who we have done a couple of jobs for
previously)
On the 20th
of June 2016 I returned on site to measure up the newly installed loft
stairs and loft room. I was met by builders on site who instructed me where to
measure.
In between
my second measure on the 20th of June 2016 and fitting on 7th of July 2016
there appear to be a slight structural change in the room. On my visit on the
20th June 2016 I was instructed to plan the room as if the new wall (there were
no walls in at the time of measure) were to run in line with where the stairs
finish. This wall has appeared to have been dropped back by approx 15-20 cm
creating the small alcove of floor that can been seen when walking up the
stairs. This appears to of been an un foreseen issue on our behalf and we were
left with no option but to put a join in this area.
I have
attached a detailed diagram of the floor and have also included my initial floor
plan showing what I was asked to measure. I hope it all makes sense but if you
have any questions and/or wish to discuss it further then please do not hesitate
to get in touch.
I'm
sorry as a result of the installation that you find yourself with a
join in the loft room that both you and I had not foreseen, had we
known about this change, we would of measured the entire area resulting in no
join.
