Hi
Dave
Please see the images
attached from our customer S29338 Mehta.
The plinth on the
customers wardrobe was loose so when Alan fitted it originally it came away soon
after. We instructed the customer to put a support behind the plinth and when we
are back to complete the job we can pull the carpet back and restretch back onto
the gripper with the then supported plinth not moving and therefore not allowing
the carpet to lift off of the gripper.
You can see from the
images attached that when Alan returned and carried out the above mentioned
action he has damaged the carpet with his kicker. The customer thinks the carpet
is cut short in 1 or 2 places against the wardrobe plinth and would like it
restretched again and at the same time have the fitter “repair” the holes in the
carpet that weren’t there before.
I think that we need to
replace this room due to the kicker marks but I will tell the customer that we
are doing it due to the carpet being cut short against the plinth and not to
mention the kicker marks as Anthony noticed kicker marks to the loft guest room
only in the corner but the customer hasn’t. I don’t want the customer thinking
we will replace carpets with kicker marks just in case he uncovers any
more.
The customer said that
he does not want Alan back in his house. He said that his wife found him rude
during the 1st visit for Mr Mehta to find him rude, dismissive and
blunt when he came back for phase 2.
We can discuss this
over the phone if easier.
I will await your
response before replying to the customer.
Thanks
Rich
